A little taste of dissonance in each and every drop
Hissing bursts of nonchalance fizz out each bottle-top The burden that the bubbles bill a direct attribution Knowledge of the price to pay dissolving in solution A hops and malt hypocrisy, fermented and distilled Socially demanded through the lives and dreams it spilled Sickness, violence, murder all a bargain to be paid For a little social lubricant for confidence displayed It holds too tight to social scenes and cannot be excluded Abstainers seen as spies within, unwelcomely intruded Refusing to consume the brew, enabling infusion Excuse to loose restriction by a communal delusion We mock the doctors of the past for advertising smokes With accruing proof of cancer in the lungs the poison chokes No second glances garnished for a doctor slugging back A shot or can or bottle at a days end to relax Health experts that seek revert, to motivate cessation Cutting back, fear heart attack or other consternation To help a patient better track to better health to be No mirrors self-reflecting for the caregiver to see
