I am a people pleaser, seek approval from the all
Dread the chance that from another’s graces I should fall In every interaction struggle never baring flaw Think only by perfection could another like me more For those who by some chance become exposed to error made Emblazoned on their being shines my flaw for me displayed Clouding every interaction, with every glimpse conveyed Avoid at any, every cost to flee the fault betrayed To punish those who see mistake and kindly let me know To fear the hand who serves to help and from the blemish grow Run away from imperfection as if in absence perfect shows Life a play to choose the actors, set the script compose Learning that the greater flaw is seeking not to err A lesson hard won hindsights humbly come to serve to share That those who learn to know the faults yet continue you to care Are the better to surround you by, best seek to keep them there
