Two poems, one prompt - the advance of artificial intelligence taking over the creative arts. One by me, one by Chat GPT Creative Art Say I Fields we once though ours alone Seem first to take the fall As the force that marches to our throne Ignores the guarding wall Pastures sown of paintings bloom In paddies tilled with tales Unique the farmers would presume No code could pierce the veil Advance of blackened boxes strides Across the verdant field Replacing crops with endless tides Submerging every shield Menial tasks we’d hoped hand off Machines to take the rein Too hard to write rote command of Too difficult to train Production of specific wares Too easy fault displayed Whereas artificial artwork bears No simple gauge to grade Creativity to replicate Thought imagine be bestowed More easily to emulate The mind to make in code AI and Creative Arts In the world of art and creativity,
There's a new player on the scene. AI has entered the fray, And things will never be the same. Machines that can paint and compose, Are now becoming more advanced. No longer just a simple tool, They're creating things that once relied on chance. With algorithms and data sets, These machines can learn and create. The lines between human and machine, Are now becoming harder to differentiate. But what of human expression, And the emotions that we feel? Can a machine truly replicate, The things that make our art so real? As AI advances more and more, We must ask ourselves this question. Will we let it take over completely, Or maintain our human connection? For while machines may be efficient, And their output may be neat. The human touch cannot be replicated, And it's what makes our art complete.
